Holiday Albums

This year's choice for an enjoyable, reasonable holiday craft were these 4x6 albums. I used a lot of holiday items I had- papers, stickers, and a lot of pages from the page-a-day scrapbook calendars I have. (In those you get a week of themed papers, perfect for something this size.) I also used a lot of ribbon and fibers. Overall a good project...

Holiday Cards

A few pictures here of the "R-E-C-Y-C-L-E, Recycle" theme of our 2007 holiday cards! I've saved cards over the years for a reason. It was a good way to use up a lot of scraps and other odds & ends. Plus I really liked not making a dozen of the same thing! (But, I could have made a lot more with the metallic red snowflake design). Never thought to check the weight of the cards- some were over an ounce!

Baby Albums

I made these three baby-themed photo albums for a baby shower I attended. The pink one was made from an inexpensive greeting card, while the other two were scrapbook papers.

Holiday Candle Rings

A need to do something a little 'different' this year led to these simple candle rings. We bought holiday picks and took them apart for these. We gave a set each to our moms.

Party Centerpiece

This was the centerpiece for the sweet 16 party. The "lantern" is made of vellum, scored and secured around a wooden square (or triangle). The panels are thick navy cardstock punched with two shapes of stars and one dot punch, and adhere to the vellum with double-stick Scotch tape. The light is from a small twist on-and-off LED light. Inside was simply metallic gift bag stuffing, and "sticks" of garland, silver pipe cleaner star shapes & twists, and all the silver Christmas picks Michael's had. Around it are festive bead necklaces from Oriental Trading.
